JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Game Economy Designer, you will own the rules and systems that control the product’s economy, in a F2P+blockchain/P2E context, as part of our own take on WEB 3.0 and Metaverse.

‍

In particular:

• You will work with the Lead Game Designer and other job families to design and implement the core game loop and its twists and turns, with a focus on user retention and monetization

• You will own the design and balancing the various aspects of a healthy game economy, including but not limited to:

• resource generators and sinks

• skill trees, jobs and specializations

• character progression as it pertains to the game economy

• virtual goods game stats, pricing & sale drivers

• integration of key blockchain elements like NFT minting & asset staking.

• You will define the metrics to be tracked in a GaaS environment and interpret them regularly in order to identify monetization challenges and opportunities as well as assess the overall health of the product

Additional responsibilities:

• Identify user behavior patterns as they interact with the product and suggest improvements in terms of feature design & sale drivers

• Support the overall Metaverse strategy as a modular product with the goal of keeping the economy in check as additional content is designed and implement by game dev partners

• Work with other job families and provide feedback as it pertains to game economy as well as overall product quality

QUALIFICATIONS

This is a key role that requires a mix of economy, F2P game knowledge and some blockchain experience, complemented with overall interest in building a product from ground up.

• You have strong F2P game design background and market knowledge both in the mobile and web-based spaces

• You are analytical and able to formalize and breakdown problems into their components / deliverables

• You have econometric and statistics inclinations, able to model problems as data, validate and then draw conclusion based on such data sets

• You are open to or already poses blockchain knowledge, especially tokenomics and see WEB 3.0 as an opportunity for the gaming industry

• You have a passion for massive open world sandbox games and understand player drivers in such experiences

• You are an Excel master

• You have familiarity with BI / analytics tools and live game middleware like Playfab, Firebase, PowerBI
