Vice President of Sales
Our client, a B2B media start-up, is seeking a highly experienced VP of Sales to drive revenue growth and lead the company's revenue generation strategy. This is a remote working opportunity, offering autonomy and accountability in the role.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the company's revenue generation strategy, including sales and partnership initiatives.
• Identify new revenue streams and opportunities for the business, including new markets, products, and services.
• Build and manage a high-performing sales team, including setting revenue targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and support.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, and drive new business acquisition through networking, prospecting, and lead generation.
• Lead the development of pricing strategies and revenue models, ensuring the company optimizes its pricing and profitability.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns that support revenue growth and drive brand awareness.
• Collaborate with the product team to ensure the development of products and services that align with customer needs and drive revenue growth.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity, and provide insights to the executive team to inform business strategy.
• Develop and understand the industry deeply, including trends, challenges, and opportunities. Develop and manage the company's revenue budget, ensuring targets are met or exceeded, and provide regular updates to the executive team.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• At least ten years of experience in B2B media sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and manage a high-performing sales team.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute revenue generation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues.
• Experience in developing and managing revenue budgets and financial models.
• Knowledge of the B2B media industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to pivot strategies and approaches as needed.
• A results-driven mindset, with a focus on achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
