What's next for the crypto in the UK?

Is the U.K's New Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, a Strong Crypto Believer?

Rishi Sunak emerges as the leader of the conservative party and prime minister of the world's 6th largest economy. This came to be in a string of events that led to the Former PM, Liz Truss, resigning after nearly 44 days in office.

Rishi has voiced his strong support for cryptocurrencies and stablecoins in the past and made known his intentions on making the U.K a global crypto hub.

“It's my ambition to make the U.K. a global hub for crypto-asset technology, and the measures we’ve outlined, will help to ensure firms can invest, innovate and scale up in this country. This is part of our plan to ensure the U.K's financial services industry is always at the forefront of technology and innovation.”

To further show his deep interest in crypto, he commissioned the royal mint in April to issue NFTS by the end of the year. He also supports the creation of digital currency by the central bank. Rishi is the youngest PM in recent times and the first with Indian ancestry.

Will he be able to position the UK to become a leading crypto force globally?
